This privacy policy (“Policy”) describes how Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Youngstown (“Website Operator”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, protects and uses the personally identifiable information (“Personal Information”) you (“User”, “you” or “your”) may provide on the website and any of its products or services (collectively, “Website” or “Services”). It also describes the choices available to you regarding our use of your Personal Information and how you can access and update this information. This Policy does not apply to the practices of companies that we do not own or control, or to individuals that we do not employ or manage.

Website Information Accuracy

Collection of personally identifiable information

Catholic Charities seeks to respect and protect the privacy of our visitors and only gathers personally identifiable data, such as names, addresses, zip codes, e-mail addresses, etc., when voluntarily submitted by a visitor. Catholic Charities does not share donor lists or donor information with any organization outside the Diocese of Youngstown. If you would like to review or update information we have on file about you, please contact us in writing via U.S. mail. Catholic Charities will make every effort to correct information that is inaccurate.

We receive and store any information you knowingly provide to us when you complete any online forms on the Website. When required, this information may include your email address, name, or other Personal Information. You can choose not to provide us with certain information if it is not required.

“Personally Identifiable Information” is information that identifies you personally, such as your name, address, telephone number, and email address. We collect and store the personally identifiable information that you have provided to us. We may collect your name, address, email address, telephone number, and payment information when you choose to make a donation.  We may collect your email address if you sign up for an online newsletter.

Collection of non-personally identifiable information

“Non-Personally Identifiable Information” can be technical information or it can be demographic information, such as your age, gender or your interests. Non-personally identifiable information does NOT identify you personally.

When you visit the Website our servers automatically record information that your browser sends. This data may include information such as your device’s IP address, browser type and version, operating system type and version, language preferences or the webpage you were visiting before you came to our Website, pages of our Website that you visit, the time spent on those pages, information you search for on our Website, access times and dates, and other statistics.
