Hopeful, Faithful, Committed

“Hopeful”, “Faithful”, “Committed” … These words come to mind as we navigate the Spring, Summer, and soon approaching Fall, of 2020.

When all Adult Day Care Centers in the state of Ohio were ordered to close in late March, due to COVID-19, we remained “Hopeful” that this would be a short-term closure, and our participants could avoid a long-term disruption in their daily routines.

It is hard to believe, but as days and weeks turn into months, we find Adult Day Cares remaining closed as we transition into August.  Our goal is to remain “Faithful” …time teaches us that life always presents unique challenges, so we trust that “this too shall pass.”

As our Adult Day team gathers weekly, we remain “Committed” …focusing on our mission; to serve the older adults in our community who have been entrusted to our care.

With the help of our Director, Troy, Social Worker, Debbie and Nurses Marilyn and Holly, we continue to reach out to our families and participants by conducting wellness checks via telephone.  Along with the aforementioned, and our activity team of Rose, Deb, Chris, Karen, Amy, and our Kitchen Coordinator, Shannon, we organize themed “Activity Packages” and hand-deliver them, weekly, to each participant. Our families and participants have expressed their appreciation, which in turn, encourages us in these challenging times.

We will continue to count our blessings and pray for our participants and families; anticipating the day when we can reunite with everyone at our Adult Day Care Center again!
