We Need You…..
WE NEED YOU TO help fill our cupboards!
Catholic Charities’ agencies collect personal hygiene and cleaning items for people in need. . Many of our clients must use their financial resources for food, utility bills and housing payments, often neglecting their own personal needs and/or the needs of their living spaces.
Families who receive SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) benefits—formerly known as “Food Stamps”—cannot use their monthly assistance to purchase personal care or household products. Many of the people who come to Catholic Charities for assistance need basic items that many people often take for granted. Catholic Charities agencies also provide great resource to homeless clients when they have obtained housing. These resources are supplied by donations to our “cupboards” or “pantries.”
Catholic Charities will be collecting paper towels, toilet paper, napkins, tissues, diapers and wet wipes. We will also be collecting cleaning supplies, personal hygiene products and other such items to help restore clients’ dignity and self-esteem.
Catholic Charities hopes to alleviate some stress and make life a little more hopeful for clients in need by providing these taxable items from our cupboards or pantries. Catholic Charities’ staff continually looks for solutions for the challenges its clients face – made even more difficult due to the pandemic we all face together.
Pantry / cupboard donations bring clients one step closer to self-sufficiency and make them a little more optimistic about the future.
